Nature Action Dialogues Roundup

News

We were pleased to join a range of businesses, NGOs, and policymakers at Nature Action Dialogues 2025, hosted by UNEP-WCMC at Jesus College, Cambridge. The event brought together key players working to accelerate nature-positive action across sectors.

Throughout the discussions, a few clear themes emerged:

Closing Plenary

1. The need for consolidation and alignment

With a growing number of biodiversity-related frameworks, tools, and disclosure requirements, participants emphasised the importance of building consensus. Aligning on common approaches will be essential for ensuring that nature strategies are both effective and comparable.

2. Bridging the data gap

Another key discussion centred on the importance of strengthening the biodiversity data pipeline — from high-level global datasets down to site-level action. Participants noted that while we have more data than ever, translating those insights into decisions on the ground remains a challenge. Tools like IBAT can help bridge this gap, making global biodiversity data more accessible and actionable for companies managing site impacts and value chain risks.

We’re grateful for the thoughtful discussions and shared commitment to nature. These conversations are vital as we continue to shape a more coherent and effective landscape for biodiversity action.

We look forward to continuing this journey with our partners and users — from global insights to local implementation.
