IBAT hosts and maintains three key global biodiversity datasets

The three authoritative datasets in IBAT are used for international reporting purposes such as the Convention on Biological Diversity Aichi Biodiversity Targets (particularly Targets 11 and 12), to the UN to track progress towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (Indicators 14 & 15), to some of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) core indicators, and other international assessments and reports including the Global Biodiversity Outlook.
